Seasons 1-8 is when shippers submit bids on two shipping shipments using Uship in a reverse auction format. Bids contain comments about the potential risks and costs as well as the motives and skills. When the time period for an auction expires, the job is typically awarded to the lowest bidder however, at the discretion of the buyer, however, it may be awarded to a higher bidder who has a higher average feedback score from previous customers. To break any ties, feedback ratings are applied. Season 9 will see shippers receive their loads from a shipping company. Bidding isn't revealed. Shippers load their cargo and try to deliver the cargo in good condition by the deadline given by the receiver or client. The feedback ratings of clients are shown after the goods have been delivered. The revenue of each shipper and costs (fuel labor, late delivery penalties), is displayed on-screen at the conclusion. subtracted from the bid amount for the purpose of determining the overall revenue or loss. Sometimes, shippers will offer to transport additional loads on the same trip. The additional amount is then added into the total. Sometimes, the shipper may not be able complete the task due to concerns about load size/weight and road safety. In some cases, one of the shippers will solicit the assistance of a third party to complete the task. The shippers decide which way to divide the profits. The progression of each shipment can be interrupted by humorous comments from other shippers during seasons 1-8.
